Herstory Beyond Bars

By engaging incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people, prison families, court-involved youth, and their allies in memoir writing, we offer them the opportunity to grow, rediscover themselves, and give back. 

Herstory in the Classroom

We provide in-school and after-school memoir writing workshops for students as well as training for teachers and counselors, with the goal of lifting up student voices so that teachers, counselors, peers, families, and the larger community will listen.
